In the present all around the world there prevails the age of technology and computers. Thus in this world that is digital there is a necessity of touch typing. On a daily basis there are many people including business man, scientists, employees, teachers, students all of them are using computer. In the current scenario everything is started to revolve around the pcs, each and every communication. These are some of the reasons why the touch typing is become imperative, it helps you to type easier, faster and without much effort.
Stage
There are 3 stages in the BBC dance mat typing level 1.
Stage 1:
The first stage gives you introduction about the home key row. The keys which are present in the center row or main row is said to be home row. This row ends with k, l, ; and begins with a, s, d. They are arranged as per the hand position.
Your fingers of the right hand rest on j, k, l, ; and the left hand rest on f, d, s, a. The space bar is hit by the thumb whenever it is required. The keys which are left over in this row is g and h, these keys are hit by the pointing finger. When there is a need the point finger in the left hand shifts from the key f to g, and the right hand pointer key shifts from the key j to h. this makes you to cover the entire keys in the home row. After introducing the fingers for the keys they provide you exercise and practice by giving you tasks to type various words and letters. You can update yourself all through the level with the help of “smashed records” which is present in the screen bottom at the time of going through the lessons of mat typing.
Stage 2:
The new keys which are learn in this stage is e, i. This stage support you to understand the two vowels efficiently. This stage begins with the review of the first stage that is of the keys of the home row. The e key is hit by the left hand and the right hand hits the letter i. the finger which is resting on k hits the letter I while the finger which rest on d hits the letter e wherever it is required. It is just like shifting the letters when required in the home row key from f to g and j to h. on the track bar the lines which you have typed and your level of progress in both the letters e and I is monitored.
Stage 3:
The main purpose of stage 3 is to make sure that you learn two keys namely the letters r and u. In the start of this stage you have a quick review of both the home row keys and the e and I keys. You can track as to how far you are ready for this stage with the help of bottom bar with the eggs.
